FAIRMONT, W.Va. — Fairmont residents impacted by the flooding can apply for FEMA assistance immediately by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov, calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362), or using the FEMA mobile app.
This important designation opens the door to critical federal resources that will support residents, families, and businesses across Fairmont as they begin to recover from the extensive damage caused by the Father’s Day Floods. Through FEMA’s Individual Assistance Program, eligible homeowners, renters, and business owners may now apply for assistance to help cover temporary housing, home repairs, personal property losses, and other disaster-related expenses not covered by insurance.
In addition to direct aid for individuals, the declaration also provides Public Assistance funding to help local governments like ours cover eligible emergency response costs and make necessary repairs or replacements to damaged public infrastructure.
The City is also working closely with state and federal partners to establish Disaster Recovery Centers in Fairmont, where individuals will be able to receive in-person assistance and guidance from FEMA representatives. We will share locations and hours of operation as soon as they are finalized.
We remain committed to supporting every resident and neighborhood in Fairmont as we move forward together in recovery.
