BOIL WATER for Pinchgut Hollow Rd. and is affecting Colfax Rd. between Rt.310, Colfax bridge & surr

On November 8th, 2018 The City of Fairmont Water Department is repairing a main water line on Pinchgut Hollow Rd. and is affecting Colfax Rd. between Rt.310 and Colfax bridge and the surrounding areas.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

If your service has had low water pressure, a loss of water, or discoloration of water, DO NOT DRINK THE WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST.

Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing, and food preparation UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Boiling your water kills bacteria and other organisms in the water.

What is being done? City of Fairmont is repairing a main water line. Samples will be collected for bacteriological testing and results determined in 24hrs. Please contact the Water Treatment Plant at 304-366-1461 on November 9th, 2018 after 12:00pm to determine if the boil water advisory has been lifted.
