Homeowner Assistance
Identify sources of homeowner assistance that are currently available through other agencies. The City can evaluate if there is a gap in assistance programs that can be filled by the City. Programs currently available to homeowners will be listed under the Homeowner Improvement Resources page.
Beautification Committee
The mission of the Beautification Committee is to develop programs that showcase businesses and residents who are exemplifying investment to their community. The Committee is also charged with working with other agencies on neighborhood clean up event and assistance to homeowners.
Vacant Property Registration Ordinances (VPRO)
A VPRO is a tool used by many communities throughout West Virginia and in other states which provides a way for the City to know when properties have become vacant and assess the stability of the buildings. A draft VPRO will be presented to City Council later in 2015.
