GREAT NEWS FOR THE BELLVIEW COMMUNITY!!!

After a devastating fire destroyed the new playground equipment at Bellview Park, community members are coming together to help revitalize this neighborhood treasure.  Thanks do a donation from Parks Commissioner Joe Manchin, IV and for the work of Bellview Resident Jessica Holt-Whaley in helping to obtain a Bowers Grant, work will soon begin to bring this community park back to life.

The old equipment has been torn down.  Marion County Parks and Recreation Commission (MCPARC) will be aerating and seeding the area in the next couple of weeks.  Shortly after that, the installation process will begin on the new playground equipment.

Anyone interested in volunteering their time to help with this project is asked to contact Mark Miller in the City of Fairmont Planning Department at 304-366-6211, Ext. 333.
